Soft Tissue Surgeries:
Prior to anesthesia, we will perform a thorough physical examination as well as pre-anesthetic bloodwork. Bloodwork is an important aspect of making surgery safe for your pet.
The morning of surgery, please be sure that your pet has no food or water after midnight the night before. Please plan to drop between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. After your pet is awake from surgery, you will receive a phone call update and to schedule a pick-up time.
You will be provided with discharge instructions to care for your pet after surgery. It is very important that these instructions be followed closely in order to ensure full recovery of your pet and to minimize any complications. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call us. Dr. Berman will also gladly provide you with his personal cell phone number should any issues arise after hours. Lastly, Quail Hollow Veterinary Hospital does not charge for post-surgery recheck visits, so you can have peace of mind should any issues come up.
